Mountain Soul Yoga in Edwards, CO
Join Julia Clarke for this illuminating teacher training in the art and skill of guiding the collective towards holistic, embodied ease, or sukha, through Restorative Yoga. Restorative Yoga is a deeply therapeutic practice in which the practitioner engages in intentional rest, sustained in reclining postures, to regenerate and rejuvenate today’s stressed body-mind complex. You will learn how to sequence your Restorative classes for optimal flow and minimal turbulence and how to create and weave thoughtfully chosen meditations and imagery through your classes to inspire self-care. You will leave ready to teach Restorative Yoga in a class or private setting, with an integrated understanding of how this healing modality functions to combat stress and fatigue.
Areas of study:
– Anatomy, physiology and energetics of Restorative Yoga
– Using props to facilitate deep relaxation
– Understanding the Nervous System’s role in stress response
– Sequencing classes towards a specific anatomical focus, mood or season
– Create and guide artful meditations to nourish the mind and Nervous System
– Appropriate pranayama for a restful practice
Ideal for current and aspiring yoga teachers, and passionate practitioners who recognize the importance of Yoga’s more lunar aspects and practices.

This training prepares one in all the skills necessary to offer a complete and safe full body Thai Yoga Bodywork treatment. In three weekends you can get certified as a “Thai Yoga Bodywork Practitioner”, while learning three hours of relaxing and therapeutic Thai Massage techniques. These can then be combined in various ways to create individualized treatments for your friends, family and/or clients. You can choose to take single days, a weekend or the first two weekends to learn the full two hour ‘Foundational Flow.’ Add in the final weekend ‘Therapeutic Thai’ for more specific applications and certification*.
With a strong emphasis on proper body dynamics and how to use leverage, you will learn how to effortlessly apply pressure to sore muscles, energy lines & trigger points as well as learn how to bring your partner through a series of assisted yoga stretches to open, relax and rejuvenate your clients. The Therapeutic weekend will focus on the more creative and advanced Thai Massage techniques. In addition, you will learn how to apply PNF techniques into the stretches to target and release specific muscles with ease. We will look at how to treat various conditions such as sciatic pain, tight hamstrings, and low back pain. We will also learn techniques to easily release the Psoas, the QL and how to bring the hips into balance.
This training has been refined for over a decade to offer all students the ability to master these skills in a short amount of time. After completing the course, all dedicated practitioners should be able to offer a profoundly healing and delightful treatment.
Each day you will learn a new thirty minute routine focusing on a specific body area in a specific position, ultimately resulting in over three hours of techniques. Courses can be taken individually or you can sign up for the full training at a discount. This is a wonderful way to complement the massage or yoga that you are currently offering and provide yourself with a new skill and income stream. You will receive a detailed guidebook with pictures and descriptions to aid in your ongoing practice.
The entire course is recorded and available to stream on your computer. Upon completion, you will be given free online access to the entire training program. This includes talking demo’s of all the techniques that we cover as well as many of the lectures.
Previous massage and/or yoga studies are recommended but not required. This work is dynamic and does require some strength and dexterity. Please watch the video clip below to see if you can imagine yourself being able to perform such maneuvers. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
This course has been selected by John’s Creek Yoga to be an approved elective in their ‘500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Please contact Sheila at Johns Creek Yoga for more details.

Unlock and unleash your yoga teaching potential. This 300-hour yoga teacher training will be led by Danni Pomplun with faculty including Noah Mazé and Rocky Heron.
This 300-hour training boasts the highest caliber of yoga education. Geared toward existing yoga teachers who are ready to increase efficacy and potency, we provide tools that dramatically improve knowledge, clarity, and focus. Expect to enhance existing skills, and put them to more productive use, as well as dive into new territory. We have designed curriculum that yields graduates who are able to deepen their current repertoire, and expand on it. Our aim is to see your strengths, meet you where you are, and support your unique direction and growth.
We do not produce cookie-cutter yoga instructors. We challenge and educate you to better know yourself as a teacher and grow your capacity from your ability to make sound decisions based on your needs, as well as the needs of your students. This training will challenge you to investigate the “why” of how you teach, and ask questions that may not have occurred to you to consider, so that you can ultimately deliver your own lessons and curriculum with clarity and confidence.
This training consists of five 6-day modules. In between onsite sessions, we will utilize online classrooms to apply and integrate learning. Each 60-hour module is comprised of 48 in-person hours and 12 online classroom hours.
